No longer a secret!

It has been so hard to keep everything quiet the past couple of days. We have such wonderful friends that would love to be a part of the adoption process with us. I was told by the birth mother that she is o.k. with letting other people know, as for me I could not wait to tell everyone of our news. We have so much support from our family that it will only get better with the support of our friends and co-workers. The ultrasound and hearing of the babys heartbeat has been rescheduled to Tuesday. I will keep everyone posted after the appointment.

Last week I received a phone call from one of our family friends who told me that she is 6 weeks pregnant and unable to keep her baby. She would like for Mike and I to consider an open adoption. Mike and I discussed the situation and have decided to proceed with the adoption. The baby's due date is July 13th. Mike and I feel very blessed and honored that we are considered potential parents. We have not contacted an Adoption Agency at this time but we will be shortly. Our families have been told of the news and are very happy for us. Mike and I could not be happier and hope our journey goes without fail. The babys mother wants us to be there during the ultrasounds and doctors appointments. Her first ultrasound and hearing the heartbeat will be on Friday. I plan on attending but because of work Mike will not be able to make this appointment. I will keep everyone updated the next couple of months. I want to thank everyone for your blessings.
